IT ALL STARTS WITH AN IDEA.

It all began when I was searching for furniture to complement our newly built cottage by the sea in Jakobstad, Finland. Despite numerous attempts to find something that fit, I felt nothing truly captured my vision. This led me to the idea of creating my own design. I set three fundamental criteria for the furniture:
-
TIMELESSNESS
-
MINIMALISM
-
SUSTAINABILITY
After spending many years in other parts of the world, I’ve come to appreciate the tranquility of Finland and the honesty that defines both its people and society. I find myself growing skeptical of today’s consumer-driven world, valuing instead quality that lasts over time. The Finnish nature, with its stillness and beauty, is something I now hold very dear.

The Significance of the Birch Tree (KOIVU)
Koivu is Finland’s most widespread tree and a true symbol of the country’s natural beauty and resilience. Known for its ability to withstand harsh climates, the birch serves as a reminder of nature’s endurance and renewal. For us Finns, it is more than just a tree—it carries a deep cultural significance. Its wood is used for furniture and fuel, reflecting Finland’s rich traditions and the close bond between people and nature.
